Programmable thermostats allow you to adjust the temperature setting to coincide with your daily schedule. Programmable thermostats can help save energy by automatically raising or lowering the temperature at night and when the home is unoccupied. Some programmable thermostats already have pre-set energy saving programs provided by the manufacturer. If you do not program the thermostat to your desired settings, the system may revert to the pre-set program at the next pre-set time interval.

Note: Different types of heating/air conditioning systems may require different types of programmable thermostats. When purchasing a programmable thermostat, it is necessary to ensure the thermostat is compatible with your HVAC system.
